Doll Class

Doll making with Erika – call now to reserve your spot – class is almost full!
Saturday - December 12th – 9:00 am -4:00 pm
$40.00 plus doll kit
Check out Erika’s web site at: www.antoniadolls.com
In this class you create your own one of a kind heirloom doll. Erika Schoell, a resident artist from Germany, will show you how to make a lovely and unusual fabric doll made from supplies that are imported from Switzerland and Germany. You can make it look just like your favorite child, dressing it in charming clothes. It takes only 4-6 hours to finish a doll. Erika brings the doll kits pre-sewn to class ready to be worked on. No sewing machine and no experience is needed.
During the first part of the class you will prepare the mask, glue the fabric on the mask and paint the face (optional – you can buy a ready painted face from the instructor). During the second part you will finish stuffing the doll parts, hand stitch the back of the doll head, close up the arms, legs, and body and assemble the doll. Finally you will choose a hairstyle/wig and dress the doll. Sample dolls are available to see in the shop.
